USCIS Announces Plan to Reopen for Appointments and Interviews On or After June 4, 2020
On April 24, 2020, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it is preparing to reopen all field offices for interviews and appointments on or after June 4, 2020, as circumstances allow. While USCIS employees continue to process applications and perform work that does not require face-to-face interaction with the public, USCIS’ field offices, asylum offices and application support centers have been closed for interviews, appointments, and biometrics since March 18, 2020. USCIS will automatically reschedule applicants whose interviews, biometrics appointments and naturalization ceremonies were canceled during the closure. Individuals whose InfoPass appointments were canceled must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center once the offices have reopened.
